Thanks Hess & Powerade!

Just heard word that our good friends … great friends rather, at Coca-Cola are teaming up with Hess Gas Station to support the race with ice cold refreshments! None other than the electrolyte kings - POWERade!

And what is the best reward for a nice long run … other than a first place medal, I would have to say an ice cold POWERade!
Again, we really appreciate your involvement in this race and this fantastic cause!
See everyone on Nov 12!

Securing a Location…
In the process of securing a location. I originally wanted to have the race run on the Esplanade along the Charles River which is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It is the part that looks like a little Island as well as the lush green land hugging the shore.
Now that I got you all excited about that I can tell you it’s not going to happen. The city wants it to be a music venue, so unfortunately no new races are allowed to be held there.
So on to my second choice… Castle Island in South Boston!

The area houses and old fort and also has a small bay area (not shown in this picture) that can be run around. When we went to scope out the location - EVEN IN THE POURING RAIN, people were still running, walking dogs, having bbq’s and even fishing. It’s just that great a place apparently!
Wish us luck as we try to secure a spot - and if you have any suggestions of locations in the Boston area feel free to leave a comment.
