When I first heard about this company and their desire to get involved in the race, I must say I was a bit confused. I love sports and have played everything from softball, to rugby, to field hockey, and cross country. But with sports sleeves I had so many questions - what are they, what do they do, are they for injuries or do they improve performance?
And the list goes on…
So I checked out their website, and I was shocked to see just how cool these things really are. Although the sleeves look relatively uncomplicated, they have:
Dri-Tek Technology: helps to keep you cool & dry.
Odor Control Technology: Wicks sweat away from your body keeping the area bacteria and odor free.
Ventilation Technology: Keeps air moving through the fabric.
UV Sun Protection: SPF 50+
Compression Technology: Increases blood flow and helps to reduce muscle fatigue.
Injury Prevention Capabilities
Used by novice athletes and pros alike, they seem to be quite popular! For those who are injury prone like myself they are surely necessary! Now if I can only get them to make me a full body suit!
Love Whole Foods Market so much! Not only is it where I saw Patriots QB Tom Brady up-close in person, but there food is amazing! I’m actually headed there in a bit to pick up groceries (& look for Tom again) for this week. They are a great organization that give me confidence that most anything I grab off the shelf is local, organic, not tested on animals, and to top it off relatively good for me. And now I have one more reason to love them … community involvement! The great folks at various MA Whole Foods, have stepped up and have offered to donate food and beverages for the end of the race!
